What's the point?
If you joined me on Substack, you probably know me from Twitter, where I tweet about my writing goal for 2022, or maybe you are part of the Comic Book Anthology Creators group on Facebook.
If you’re not familiar with me then I want to introduce myself. I’m Phil Butehorn and I am a comic book writer. Since 2019, I’ve been in about 15 + anthologies. Here are my most recent books:
Besides writing anthologies, I run the Anthology Creators Group on Facebook. I started the group because finding open submissions was a lot like winning the lotto. Unless you had a great network, it was possible to be involved in anthologies. Right now, we are living in the Golden Age of Anthologies. Every week, there is a new anthology on Kickstarter and open submissions are announced for a future anthology.
If you’re new to writing, this substack will give you the opportunity to find open submissions for anthologies and lessons on writing anthology shorts.
If you’re interested in organizing anthologies, I plan on doing Q&As with organizers with successful and failed crowdfunding projects.
Once a week, I will be sharing a page from my shorts and showing the transformation from script to a completed page.
