Here’s a fun fact. This story is 25% based on a true story. A few years ago, after a long day at the 9-5, I took my oldest to the playground. A few minutes in and I was hit with those stupid paper snappers. We are barely 5 minutes in and I decided not to make a scene (what’s the point? There is only 4 of us at the playground.) and take my son home.
At the time, I’m a 33 year old with a 3 year old son. After a long day of working remote and yelling at my son to be quiet while I presented in meetings, I needed to erase my dad guilt by taking him out. Instead, I was served with paper snappers and a crying kid. When we left, I remember my son saying, he “wanted to get them.” In that moment, I had to shut down his mindset and teach him a valuable lesson. Just because someone ruined your day or hurt you, it doesn’t mean you hit back! However, what I didn’t tell him was a moment like this can inspire a horror story.

**Note to the artist: we never see the adults' faces. We see them from their legs down or just their backs. Kind of like what they do with the adults from The Peanuts and Lincoln Loud’s parents from Loud House S1.**
